Which of the following are the x-intercepts of the parabola y=x^2-5x+6?

(A) (0,2) \ and \ (0,3)

(B) (2,0) \ and \ (3,0)

(C) (-2,0) \ and \ (3,0)

In order to find the x-intercepts of this parabola we must set y=0 and then solve the quadratic equation using GDC.

For example, the commands for Casio FX-9860G II to solve a quadratic equation are:

MENU>EQUA>F2(Polynomial)>Degree (2)>insert the coefficients and get two real roots,

x=2 \ or \ x=3. So the points of x-intercepts are (2,0) \ and \ (3,0) .

Therefore the correct answer is (B).

Hope these help!!:)
