Which of the following is equal to the remainder left by the division of P(x)=2x^4-4x^3+3x^2-4x+8 by the linear polynomial x+2?
(A) 88
(B) 90
(C) 92
(D) 94
(E) 96

The Remainder Theorem states that if a polynomial p(x) is divided by x-k then the remainder equals p(k).
Based on remainder theorem we have that the remainder of the aforementioned division is equal to P(-2).
P(x)=2x^4-4x^3+3x^2-4x+8

So, P(-2)=2(-2)^4-4(-2)^3+3(-2)^2-4(-2)+8= 32+32+12+16=92

Therefore the correct answer is (C).
