SAT mathematics - Order of operations

Can anyone help me with the following simplification:

3-10\div 5\times 4-1+(4-5\times 2)^2

Thanks!;)

The order of operations is:

1st - Parentheses (Grouping symbols are always done from the innermost set outward.)

2nd - Exponents

3rd - Multiplication & Division (These operations are done in the order they appear from left to right. They are done together because they have the same importance)

4th - Addition & Subtraction (These operations are done in the order that they appear from left to right)

So for your question we have

3-10\div 5\times 4-1+(4-5\times 2)^2

=3-10\div 5\times 4-1+(4-10)^2

=3-10\div 5\times 4-1+(-6)^2

=3-10\div 5\times 4-1+36

=3-2\times 4-1+36

=3-8-1+36

=30
