SAT math Absolute Value Inequality

\left\vert{} 2x-1 \right\vert{}<5

In order to solve this inequality we’ll set up two inequalities.

Not only will we change the sign of the number on the

right, but we’ll also change the direction of the inequality:

2x-1<5 and 2x-1>-5

2x<6 and 2x>-4

x<3 and x>-2

So, all real numbers -2<x<3 satisfy the inequality.

Hope these help!!:D
