SAT math simplify fractions question

If x/y = z/w =k, find the value of \frac{4x^2 - xz + 3z^2}{4y^2 - yw + 3w^2} in terms of k?

\frac{x}{y}=k \Rightarrow x=ky

\frac{z}{w}=k \Rightarrow z=kw

So, the fraction will be

\frac{4x^2 - xz + 3z^2}{4y^2 - yw + 3w^2}=\frac{4(ky)^2 - (ky)(kw) + 3(kw)^2}{4y^2 - yw + 3w^2}=

=k^2 \frac{4y^2 - yw + 3w^2}{4y^2 - yw + 3w^2}=k^2
